Cold Bore Ballistics LLC builds offline-first software. We do not collect, store, transmit, or sell your personal information.
Data We Do Not Collect
- No account or login is required to use any Cold Bore Ballistics product
- No analytics or usage tracking
- No advertising identifiers
- No location data
- No name, email address, or contact information of any kind
Data That Stays on Your Device
All data you enter — ammunition loads, DOPE entries, environmental conditions, and saved sessions — is stored locally on your device only. None of this data is ever transmitted to any server.
Bluetooth
ScopeDOPE uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to communicate with the Niimbot B1 label printer and compatible weather sensors. All BLE communication occurs directly and exclusively between your device and the connected peripheral. No data from any BLE session is transmitted to external servers or third parties.
Ammunition Database Updates (Optional)
ScopeDOPE may periodically offer an optional update to the built-in ammunition database. If performed, the app downloads a database file from a Cold Bore Ballistics–operated server. This request transmits no personal information — it is equivalent to downloading a static file. The app is fully functional without this update.
Feedback (Optional)
If you choose to submit feedback via the app or website, your submission (category, title, description, and optional contact email) is transmitted to a Cold Bore Ballistics–operated server and filed as an issue in our development tracker. Submission is entirely voluntary and contact information is optional. Anonymous submissions are fully supported.
App Store Review Prompts (Optional)
ScopeDOPE may prompt you to rate the app through your platform’s built-in review mechanism (Google Play in-app review on Android; App Store review on iOS). These prompts are managed entirely by the platform — no data from the app is transmitted in connection with them.
Third-Party Services
Cold Bore Ballistics products do not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, tracking, or cloud services.
Children
Our products are not directed at children under 13 and do not knowingly collect any information from anyone under 13.
Changes to This Policy
Any material changes to this policy will be reflected at this URL with an updated effective date. Continued use of our products after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
